Join the Daniel Boone Homestead Associates for a basket making workshop led by Vicky Heffner. The workshop will take place in the Wayside Lodge at the Daniel Boone Homestead. Participants will get to make a market-style, or catch-all, basket. This basket has lots of uses because of its long length and handle. The market-style basket is very handy while gardening since it is long with a high handle, allowing one to harvest a variety of vegetables. It also could be used to store mason jars with cut flowers. For modern use, CDs or DVDs are the perfect size to use this basket for storage. Looking for a unique Christmas gift? This basket makes a great present!
Participants are asked to bring the following: Bucket 10 Spring Clothes Pins Towel Flathead Screwdriver Ruler or Tape Measure Old Pair of Scissors If you do not have some of the items, extra supplies & tools will be provided. Please note, plastic clothespins will not work for this project.
